Door Hinge Problem
Think it is the pin in the hinge wearing. I did read help section and saw
the limited info on doors & hinges.
My question is as to weather it is better to replace the hinge, or try to get
the pin out. Also, if anyone has done this procedure, did you do it
taking the door off by unbolting the hinge from the door or from the body. Then, how did you line the door back up when you put it back on. It is
a 96 F150.
Thanks in advance for any info.
It contained 1 pin and 2 bushings for each hinge.
I opened my door and set a concrete block and some 2x6 cutoffs + cedar shims to hold it up.
I then cut the old pin through the middle using a dremel with a "Tuf Grind" wheel on it, and removed it.
I then punched out the old bushings and installed the new.
Then with the help of my brother, we installed the new pin.
