90 Ranger A/C problems
Had my a/c charged up, but compressor cut on and off fast. the mechanic said it was some eletricial problem that he could not fix, but he thought that the Wide open throttle relay was bad. I replaced that, but now the compressor will run while in park pretty close to normal and will cycle on and off at 1500 rpm. But! when you put the truck in reverse or drive (its a automatic) the compressor cuts off and on at random for only for a second. Is the compressor some how tied in to the transmission or the linkage. Also the compressor is a little noisy. The mechanic said that may go away, is that possible?
