Radio Hotwire

Sorry, looked through the forums and couldn't find anything. I installed another aftermarket stereo into my dash (Hole was already there). I followed the constant 12 volt wire and it lead straight to where the battery connects to the starter sylenoid. I was wondering where I should connect it, any specific places you guys put it?
Thanks!

It should be on a fused wire. Does your unit require a constant hot wire? Most go on a switched wire.

It has the switch wire, but it won't come on if the constant isn't connected. The red switch goes to the ignition, the PO took the wire from the constant and hooked it up to the sylinoid. I got rid of that wire, i didn't know if it was safe or if it would cause battery drain.
