Had a 2.5" in level on my 2006 F350 for 3 yrs. Loved it. Did nothing but level the vehicle (no alignment afterwards), and had no negatives to report (ie. tire wear, vibration, etc...).
I'm considering doing the same on new F450; just looking for some pics before proceeding.
I had a 2.5 leveling on my 06 F250 so I could put 33's on it. loved it, had to do a space on the drive shaft but that was it. So you may need that depending on how the drive shaft looks. Just bought a 08 F250 6.4 and may do the same, I think that the stock height is just a little to low.
Have one on my 08' 350 and flat LOVE it!!!!!!!!! Now I am waiting for the OEM tires to wear out so that I can put larger ones on it. Not any problems or issues at all. I also pull a 30' Fifth Wheel and atvs behind that.

As long as everything is properly installed, you shouldn't have any issues as long as your caster remains in spec.
I'd recommend the Icon Vehicle Dynamics 2.5" system (includes alignment cams to adjust caster).
A nice addition to the system is the Icon adjustable trac bar to ensure that the front axle is centered under the truck.
Are the replacement springs going to squat under the weight of a front end replacement bumper? Would it be better to go with the new springs and lose the stepped up ones that come with the snowplow prep package, or use spacers on top of the heavier springs?
The Icon springs are a progressive rate spring so the intial spring rate is softer than stock. So they will squat a little bit under the weight of a replacement bumper.
How much they squat depends on the weight of the bumper (winch?) that you want to run.
If you are going with a real heavy combo or guys who do run 850-1000lb snow plows the Icon 2.5" spacer system (spacers, alignment cams and 4 shocks) will handle the load better.
The F-350 system is the $746.80.....and once the discount is applied during checkout it's $672.12
The more expensive Icon 2.5 is for the F-250 trucks as they need a larger block and u-bolts with the kit. If they keep the stock F-250 blocks the truck will be lower in the rear than the front.
DCSpecial,
I too am wanting to purchase a leveling kit for my 2003 F250 Lariat FX4 with the 7.3. Would I be able to fit 18" wheels with 35" tires with just a leveling kit? If not, what would be the biggest tire/wheel combo I could use with a leveling kit?
