Transmission OE4D
Hello,my 91 F350 diesel flares up between 2nd and 3rd when pushing it hard,it otherwise shifts flawlessly when driving normally.Should i be concerned,or just leave it until it gets worse.Any help would be apprciated.

you need to check the diesel section on this one. My E4OD went belly up after just two days of ownership. After replacing the trans, 4 months later the torque-conv burned up and back to the shop i went. Always leave the truck out of over-drive untill you are 55 MPH or higher. The whole time i was having this problem 2nd to 3rd shifting was way slow. I am still not impressed with the shifting now, even with the new torque-conv in place. If you solve this problem please let me know.

The E4OD in the trucks(especially diesels) has always had problems. You will either have to get it rebuilt or put a new one in. I would do it before it gets real bad and leaves you stuck, because if you let it go, it will.
