Sounds like Valvolene is using it's GF-5 anti-wear addpack in this recipe & has found a way to get back some of it's $$$$$ development cost investment in GF-5 oils, which will require more stable antiwear formulations, like their advertising for this brew says it does.
$8 a qt for it is gross, but with the advertising, I'll bet some folks will jump on it, like a duck on a June Bug!!!!! lol

Never used synthetic oil so don't know how price compares to other synthetics. Recently had 65 engine rebuilt and considering options for breaking the engine in, then select a brand, type, and grade and sticking with it.
