Switched with ignition

I am installing an alarm and have one wire that I do not know where to connect it. It says that it needs to be switched (with the ignition) and that it needs to be hot even when cranking. I have many switched circuits, but the only thing that I can find that is hot while cranking is the volt meter in the dash. I would tap into that, but I do not know which wire runs it. Is there another place to look?

I am supposing that this is for the feature in the alarm that will not allow the engine to start if the alarm in activated. I am not planning to hook up that feature at this time (extra part that I have to order). Does anyone know if this is what that would be for?
