About 4 days ago the Emission System Light remained on and has yet to go off. I looked in the Owner's Guide and it stated that the Onboard Diagnostics System has detected a malfunction.
Under the On Board Diagnostics section it mentions that it could be "temporary" due to either 1) Out of fuel 2) Poor fuel quality or water in fuel (I haven't let it go completely empty and then refueled to see if it will go off 3) Fuel cap may not be secured (I've had a lock and key cap for over a year with no problem)
All the vital fluids are fine.
Is there any other ideas, suggestions you may have to fix this?
I have had the same thing for the last 3-4 weeks or so after I changed all the filters. The light goes on for 2-3 days and turns off for a day or 2 and then back on again. Everything works fine but I going to stop at the dealership next week and see what they say.
