Front Tank?

Front Tank?
Getting ready to take the bed off to take care of some rust and fix the bed, and I need to get the front tank out off the way. The tank has not been used in over a year due to a leak and the sender acting up on it. What do I have to do to leave the tank off. Will it cause any problems and whats the best way? Just cap the lines and unplug the wire? And how do I wire the changover switch to pull from the rear tank only?

Cap the lines, unplug and tape up the sending unit connection. The tank selector valve works on reversing the polarity on the selector, so you should be able to locate which wires are for the switching function (not fuel level sending unit) and remove them from the connector and tape them up. Maybe some one will have a wiring diagram, just thought of something, I think TJ had some wiring diagrams so check one of his post.
