ladder bars replace rear sway bars?

hey guys. im about to go buy some new ladder bars for pretty cheap off a guy near me. i just got a chance to look at my truck after work, and it doesnt look like these ladder bars will fit anywhere. are ladder bars meant to replace the sway bar in the rear? or do they work together?

its a 97 f350 with a sterling 10.25 out back. i have the factory blocks, the shocks, and the sway bar to compete with. on top of that, the truck has 2 gas tanks. the truck sees like 70% street and 30% mud WHEN i get to drive it. i need to keep it streetable up to like 70 mph on the highway.

my main question is, do the ladder bars replace the sway bar in the back? quick answers would be helpful. thanks!

No, they have different purposes.
Ladder bars are to prevent axle wrap (to keep the axle from twisting).

The sway bar is designed to help keep the truck from leaning side to side for better handling on the road.

imo, The rear springs on a F-350 are probably stiff enough to prevent axle wrap on all but the biggest tires and lift.

im gunna go with rebo, since your truck is 70% on road and you must be able to do 70 then bigger tire's arent in your future, so axle wrap shouldn't be of concern if it is, ditch the rear blocks.

I was just driving 80mph down some twisty back roads in my bronco with worn out steering, no sway bars, 4 inches of lift and super soft coils. Sway bars are over rated on trucks..

Yeah get rid of the sway bars.

When i got ride of mine (both trucks) i could not tell a difference in handling. However, the trucks flexed much better.

actually, im going from 38s to 44's. gonna have 15 inches of lift. while i may not be able to push 70 anymore, i still need to drive it on road.

im definitely gonna keep the front for now, but the back will be going when i start the shackle flip. i got a deal on these things too.

That's what im sayin if your goin for 4" lift go with 4" springs up front and 6" in the back, then ditch the blocks, and your good to go.
