I just bought a set of them from the dealer for ~ $11.00 each. They are a composite like material like the old timey donut gaskets on our big 70's V-8's. I now find these on the net from AMJ performance.
My question; I paid $25.00 for the dealer ones. Are these that much better to cost like $80.00? I know the longevity may be better but do you guys think it is worth the extra cost or not.
I been watchin' you even on other forums. I am just trying to keep up with you. You got your II's fisrt etc. etc. etc.
Dude I am just trying to keep up.
haha you got that modded H2E comin though i decided that i should hold off on mods till next summer when i pull the motor, first i'll schedule an appointment at BTS, then pull the motor when i get back and do rods, pushrods, studs, modded H2E, fuel system, big oil, and big ol' injectors and if anything else is needed to support this then i'll go with that too... ya know like main girdle... that type of stuff... but till then i'm gonna get very jealous of your progress haha
Neal I don't know of anyone using the AMJ donuts. They look to be brass or bronze but I don't know how they would work. I would image good but I just don't know. I can't believe H-max hasn't come out with flex bellows on their pipes yet.
just make a set of bellows!! bout $100 a piece for them, beans has some brass ones, the biggest deal with the new donuts take your collector and upipes to a muffler shop and have them swelled a bit so they fit tightly in the collector then put it all togethor it will work much better then but nothing beats bellows

I was hoping they would be bellowed also. I will discuss with bean also.
The uppipes are stainless and one has regular bends in it and the other one is tig welded from three individually bent pipes. Nice welding, looks good.
