autozone has told me that they can not pull codes on anything older than a 1995 or 96 vehicle, they really pissed me off that night.....ill try oreillys next time i get out with the vehicle...
i know i can do it myself but eh. . . . that may be another topic....
Where are you from Zstang? I know when I went to vo-tech, the school's pay for all of the kewl gadget's, so they CAN pull the codes for you because they will have the cartridge for your truck plus they have a sun-machine that can diagnos it for you. You can either do the work yourself or have them do it for you and i know at the school i went to, they took small donation's for the work so maybe give them $15 as upposed to $75 at a normal shop
im from missouri, and thankyou for the advice, if i cant get a code myself, il ltry them out next, thankyou! oh and i think the dude at autozone was ignorant, im sure they can read it he might just be too noob to know or lacking initiative to try it...PEACE!
is it possible that the Powertrain Control Module Relay is going bad and causing this problem? is there a way i can test this relay to see if it is bad or good? just a thought, please let me know if you know anything, PEACE!
wow what a week, monday my explorer took a dump on me, lol the fuel pressure regulator was bad, so i spent 85 bucks on that and get it running, then i got to thinking, i just put one on my truck or so i thought, autozone said it was a year and a half ago, yeah right, anywyas... i tested the one on my truck and it seems to be faulty, there is fuel coming out where the vac line goes, LOL that means its bad! it appears to be doing the same thing my explorer was, it was feeding the motor fuel through the vac line into the upper intake manifold, SO as soon as i get 50 bucks my truck should be running like new again, phew, i hope thats what it is!
