FYI, when you all come up with an agreed upon logo, etc. you need to submit it to the Admins, IB_Tim, IB Adrian or FTE Ken to be sure you are not violating any copyright material.
What you have post in post #1 should be ok, but you still need to get their blessing.
Use of the blue Ford Oval will be hard to get approved because of Ford's copyrights.
We are truly flattered that you would want to copy from the First State, lol.

About this
Yea, I'm the licensed product designer at my work so I've seen my share of copyright lines, lol. Wasn't sure about the Ford oval but I figure since I've seen it altered (in good taste) on so many other avatars here that it had already been addressed by FTE Mgt. and Ford licensing. I can easily alter the chrome border if it becomes an issue. Or chuck it altogether... wouldn't be the first time a licensor shot me down!
This got me a-thinking... I wonder if they approved those "Calvin wizzing on the Ford logo" stickers on the backs of Chevys/Dodges?

About this
As far as a copyright issues goes, a chrome oval with something inside would be quite a stretch for Ford to have a problem with. But then Ford does do a lot of stupid stuff against its own best interest.
