Thanks Ron! I called Xtremediesel and they had NO CLUE when the backorder would be in.....and it didn't come with O-rings either. Canceled it and ordered from Dieselsite, $86.30. Cost a bit more.....but I hate waiting!!!!!!
I got my wheel in the mail today and I only had an hour to start the project of getting it in. I have all the boots off the y pipe and the y is out. On the turbo I just have the two bolts holding it down and the clamp on the very back left. I sprayed the bolts with pb blaster and letting them sit over night. How or what is the trick to getting the clamp off the back of the turbo? That bugger is really on there. I used a screwdriver and a hammer on the exhaust gently. Is it the same way on this clamp also?
Shawn, yeah, you gotta beat that damn clamp off, especially if it's never been off before. However once off, next time it'll be easier. I had to hit mine with a hammer and long screwdriver from both sides. Drink beer, that helps me!
Do I need to take the pedistal out with the turbo? Or how do I unhook the ebpv from the turbo, I can't see under it very well. With my 94 I had to take the pedistal with the turbo to get it off. This one has 2 bolts coming out the top in between the exhaust and the intake side. Does that disconnect the pedistal from the turbo? Does any body got a pic of how the ebpv is attached to the valve itself?
