OK, heres my problem. The other night i thought it would be fun to go drive through a flooded parking lot with my truck. Water came flooding through the engine compartment and my alternator started squealing. I thought it would dry out and shut up but 400 miles later its still squealing. Am i going to have to buy a new alternator. and what kind of high output ones are available for what prices? Thanks for any help.

You probably got too much water in the bearings.
Go buy an alternator rebuild kit. Get the one
that includes a new bearing. It should cost you
less than $15. They aren't hard to rebuild.
Give it a try.
