Intake Swap

i have an 86 mustang motor in both my truck and dirt car. one has an edelbrock intake and 4bbl car and the other has the stock 2bbl holley carb and intake. im lookin to swap them. is there anything special about this swap and ive taken all 12 bolts out but it doesnt want to budge at all. anything im forgettin to take off?

Pry it with a screwdriver. Also carefully match the gaskets to the manifold. They changed the gasket style in the mid 80's on the 302's.

thanks. but other than that is it pretty straight forward? does the thermostat housing have to come off?

no, but you do have to drain at least some of the coolant since it goes through the manifold

I do know you have to sneak it around the distributor, so if something ends up being in the way, take it off. It's nice not having to disturb the dist.
