My kids f?+*& cats wont stay of my truck. There is fine scratches everywhere.I would love to just shoot them but that would upset the kids then the wife etc. you know.Is there any good products for getting scratches out? Also any ideas for keeping the little rodents of my truck besides a very slow death.Maybe some anifreeze i hear they love the stuff.
Been there. My step-cat (came with the marriage) would be all over my convertible mustang. Most any rubbing compound will get the fine kitty scratches off the paint. My convertible top was a different story. There is another product that works, it's called buckshot. It comes in a shell and you need a special applicator made by Browning, or Remington or Weatherby...

I was thinking maybe a Daisy, Little bit quieter and wont disturb the neighbors.
I had the same problem;my neighbors cat kept getting on my truck. Finally,I snuck up on him 2-3 times with a hose spray and that cured the problem.Every now and then when I see him walking across his yard I spray the hose at him and he runs like hell!
I hear you on the D*m cats... my uncle's farm has wild cats, he has to have at least 40 of them at anyone time, if he shoots one today there's 5 more tomorrow!
A good way to get rid of anything you don't like is with a kennel warped with a black garbage bag over it and a piece of flexible pipe from your exhaust to a hole in the garbage bag....that should take care of them!....It works too
(ps: I have not killed any cats with it but skunks I have)
There is a product made by Klasse out of Germany. Its not a wax, or a polymer compound but an acrylic sealant. Its application is a bit tough but with any quick detailer; it comes off clean. I have a couple of layers on my truck and not even dust has a chance to cling. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of shine you can get out of it just check out my "2004 Ford F150 4x4 - Halo, 14k Later" album.
I've had good luck with products from a company called "Poorboy's World". They can be found on the web. I have their professional polish and sealant with carnuba and resins from 2002. I use to use them religously but got lazy for the last 6 years or so and went to a common store bought wax, no polish. Well I had gotten, over the years, scratches on my truck hood from pushing the snow and ice off the hood. I had some Poorboy's polish and sealant left from 2002. I used it in late October 2007 and as of today the scratches are still not showing, though it could use another wax or sealant coat . I find that using microfiber cloths gives a better end finish. I do everything by hand, and boy is my truck with it's high cap HUGE !
If yoi go with the Browning or Weatherby tool, a plastic milk jug on the end of the barrel will quite the shell noise. Good for one application only though.
I like prowax products, they make several different cleaners and scratch removers like the p-27Q scratch remover or the p-40 clear coat cleaner also the p-31 #1 polish works great for light scratches.
