Alright, im swapping a 96 5.8 OBD-2 Mass air california motor/harness into my truck (89 F159).
The problems:
I want to run a stick tranny. Anyone know of a oem computer i can run?
If i run the E4OD thats on the motor now, what VSS is it running off of? Im running a ford 9", so i have no tone ring. But, i do have the factory 1356 t-case and vss in it. Will that run the trans?
If all else fails, can i have the computer flashed to ditch the auto trans controls? if so, who should i call? btw, im in california.
you can use a tweecer to tell the computer to ignore the e4od commands, but I think you do need the tone ring for the speedometer. Since it is an stick however, you can probably bypass that too.
If you figure out how to put a tone ring on a 9" let me know
