Today I bought a 2000 f-150 2wd supercab and was looking it over really well and had to change a park light on the drivers side and looking in at the rad support I noticed a ceramic looking component bolted to the rad support with 2 wires coming out of it.WHAT IS THIS THING?Just a ? I thought somone might know, its behind the drivers headlight area and on the lower rad support.

coatit might be right. the ambient air temp sensor for your thermometer is most times located on the lower radiator support to get full air flow for a temperature reading. to be sure, try unplugging it if possible and see if your thermometer quits reading temp.
