Garage Update
There were very few and minor differences such as a generator instead of an alternator, the front bevel on the hood and headlight doors, etc.
You could be right about the differences, I would have no idea.
I just remember throughout the years seeing cars that were advertised as 64 1/2's.

The official transition date from 1964 to 1965 is the 31st of July. The start of the second production of a 65 mustang was the 17th of August. Before that date a total of 121538 early-mustangs had been build. Ford never referred to Mustangs as "'64" or "'64 1/2" models. They were all considered 1965 models. Regardless what the official view of ford about the model year of these cars, there are differences between the first and second production run of Mustangs.

So OFFICIALLY its a Frist Run 65

Pics will come tonight in a new post, hell maybe I should start a FTE mustangs thread

So I guess this makes it an actual 65
well this makes it pretty clear
My 65 Fastback has all the GT options such as the A code 289 4 bbl, factory disc brakes, faster ratio steering gear box as well as the optional Pony interior. It`s also a 4 speed car. The GT fog lights were missing when I bought it but the factory switch for them was there in the dash.
