Hi guys
I am going to convert my 84 F250 from carb to EFI. I have the EEC-IV computer and feedback carb stock (hate it). Going to pull intakes, injectors, and computer from junkyard. My question is with the EEC-IV (OBD-1) system am i stuck with the speed density EFI or can i use MAF? Did MAF ever come stock with EEC-IV?
thanks, Joe
My question is with the EEC-IV (OBD-1) system am i stuck with the speed density EFI or can i use MAF? You did not say what engine but I think it would be easier to use a MAP (speed density) system from as close to your truck as you can find, say a 1986 or if you have a 460 1988.
Make sure you get all of the engine compartment wiring and sensors. the Bronco should have the same engine and transmission also.
You may want some of the cab wiring also so you can plug in the engine wiring to the cab wiring.
You may want to see if the salvage yard will sell you the Bronco and then you can take stuff off as you go.
