I don't know anything about the autos, but did you get the speedo recalibrated for the new tires? Could the taller tires be causing the PCM to delay shifting based on TSS & OSS readings that are now slower for the indicated speed?
If the speedometer is not corrected you will have alot of problems on your hands, the truck isn't actually shifting at the correct time, it throws the RPM out of whack when it should change, etc. I have a Superlift Truspeed and love it, it's adjustable for any tire/gear size and it has two presets you can easily flip with a switch.
AE with the 6.1 up date will recalibrate up to 40" i have heard of people doing up to 37 so far and the speedo is now right on using GPS...there are a lot of guy's on here from Texas with AE..maybe one of them wouldnt mind making a couple of bucks...
Good point Ron. What part of Texas are you in? I've got an AE, but don't have the new version so i wouldn't be able to help you out. Maybe someone else would.
if you got your AE less then a year ago then the up date is free...if you need a link i have it....other wise its $50 for another year of up dates.... dealer gets $100
