I don't know anything about the autos, but did you get the speedo recalibrated for the new tires? Could the taller tires be causing the PCM to delay shifting based on TSS & OSS readings that are now slower for the indicated speed?

Please ignore me if I'm way off base here.

If the speedometer is not corrected you will have alot of problems on your hands, the truck isn't actually shifting at the correct time, it throws the RPM out of whack when it should change, etc. I have a Superlift Truspeed and love it, it's adjustable for any tire/gear size and it has two presets you can easily flip with a switch.

Its wrong if you have any tire size other than stock, and you havent corrected it.

Get the Truspeed from Dieselsite.com

Ford can correct the computer by changing the gear in the differential that reads the ring speed, however only up to 35" tires.

Good point Ron. What part of Texas are you in? I've got an AE, but don't have the new version so i wouldn't be able to help you out. Maybe someone else would.
