94' f-150 no ignition? EEC IV module?

94' f-150 no ignition? EEC IV module?
I have a fuel injected 302 on my f-150 and i never could find the ignition and when i looked in repair manual, it says i have an EEC IV.
i don't know if that took the place of and ignition or what.
Are there and performance upgrades or am i just totally mistaken?

What module there is on the EECIV, is on the side of the distributor. It processes the signal from the pickup inside the dist. It then sends this signal to the computer inside the truck. The computer looks at all of the engine conditions at that moment, and modifies this signal it received from the module, and sends it back to the module. The module uses this modified signal to fire the ignition at the right time. I think MSD among others, have ignition systems that are compatible with the EECIV system.
