any one know how to remove the line on the outlet side of the pump?
the back one was straight forward, jus remove the plastic clip and pull off the hose but on the fromt it has a different style, it has a metal clip that flips up but not sure if thats all u have to do, is this one of the connections that i need a special tool for?

Yes, you need one of those fuel line disconnect tools. It's one of those quick release fittings. You're supposed to need the tool for both sides of the pump.
ok, well i figured it was one of thoes connections that needed a tool, funny thing is that i have one but its at my old mans place 45 mins out of town, so i go to crappy tire to buy one and there all out, so now im frustrated but i developed a little mcgiver trick for u all( i took the lid off of a highlighter pen that was about 3/8's in dia, cut the end off of it and split it down the middle, then i just slipped it over the tube and pressed it in there with a flat head screw driver and it worked like a hot damn. Keep this in mind when u go to buy one for 30 bucks.)
ok so now ive got the new pump in there and as im tightening the nut for the pos terminal it frickin snaps off(@#$%&^#, %&*#, $%@#*, %$#&*)ahh ok now im angry cuz i wont be able to get another pump before i leave not to mentsion that it cost me 350 bones, so i get some heavy wire and i get my soldering gun real hot and melt a blob of solder on to the stub thats left and attach the the wire, well ill be damned, its on there good(tried to break it off but couldnt) ok so im starting to calm down and i get the pump in, hooked up and cycle the key, sure enough i hear it suck fuel, then after a few cranks she fires up and smooths out.
so needless to say all the screwin around paid off
thanks again for all the help, ide be clueless to alot of things about this truck if i didnt have u guys.
I have had days just like that. Snapping off everything. Sounded like what i did to my glow plug relay. Bought gpr on way home and when installing positive, Snap. (dang cheap plastic). Jump on the bike and ran back to napa for another.
Good deal and good thinking one the quick fix for the lines. Keep a check on the solder job, sounds like it is working. Good luck on your trip and let us know how it went.
