There seems to be a cooling problem
my '81 302 runs strong and i love it and will get many miles out of it. Though it has a problem with overheating. Like when i put my new ignition in (114:1 coil, plugs gapped .060) it ran normal temperatures but when i changed the oil, going from mineral to blended, it started to get hot. My coolant is 100% full and the oil is full i guess, my dipstick is shorter than normal so i cant tell. on the scale of "NORMAL" it sits at the "M" or the "A". When i turn the truck off and turn it to the "on" position it reads "L". ive thought this is really weird though it seems to run strong.
