Low oil pressure

Low oil pressure
I have an 1986 Ford F150 XLT, 302. It only has 80,000 miles on it and seems to run great. When it first starts up and when I am driving at normal speeds the pressure is normal. As soon as I stop at a light or idle the pressure drops to low. Would this be the gauge or an engine problem? This seems like a far to common occurance.
I don't no whether to be concerned or not because the engine seems very strong.
