i have a 96 explorer and i keep blowing my #26 fuse 10amp and i know this is very bad but i put a 10,15,20 and they all blew is this common or not there is a LOT of rust underneath the truck can any1 help i nave no reverse lights no 4w or no rear deforster and its killing me please any help
Start by looking at what is on the 26 fuse. If the rear def is on it, unplug the clips on it to see if it makes a difference. It may be shorting out there. You can also unplug the reverse switch from the trans to try and narrow it down. Does the fuse blow as soon as you put it in, or when you turn the ignition on, or when you activate an accessory? Do not put a higher fuse in it as you may cause an electrical fire.
