Duracolor makes a exterior accessory paint that's a semi-flat black. It's in a spray can and is marketed for renewing bumpers and the like. I used it for head light doors and side mirrors. It sprays easy and covers great - I would bet you could paint the windshield molding without having to remove any chrome. Just rough it up with steelwool and the paint should stick. The paint is UV inhibited - headlight doors I did a couple of years ago still look good - so do the mirrors.
Nice Oscar, though I did pick up my trim from the powder coating shop today, and it came out amazing! He did my antenna and antenna base as well, all for $40!!. Tomorrow I go in for the new windshield and there going to install the trim so i don't have too, good luck guys I am hoping this will motivate others to follow this path if there aching to make their chrome trim black.
