Rear Brake Lock-up
The rear brakes on my '97 lock-up on me the first few times I use them each morning. In an earlier post, someone mentioned at TSB related to this (99-10-07 or 98-10-07). I have only noticed it in the winter, so it seems it may be related to moisture/ice.
Does anyone know what the fix, if there is one, is? On the pluse side it makes the normally anemic brakes seem stronger

Actually, on that note, I heard Ford may be redesigning/improving the brakes on these trucks. Any truth to the rumor?

Rear Brake Lock-up
The fix is to replace the brake linings with a redesigned lining.
I have no idea about the rumors, but Ford and other OEMs are constantly changing/upgrading their brake systems to reduce warranty complaints.
