Hmmm i thought i posted this but i guess i have to do it again......
I have to work that weekend and won't be attending now, since i have no nice special interest ride it won't be the same so instead of taking 4 days holidays for that weekend i will work. This means someone else will have to host a hotdog roast at Gordie Howe

Im just still gonna play it by ear. As of this morning I can kinda limp around with a brace on, so it looks like I might be able to go.

The woman also wants to go to the lake. I wouldnt mind catching the cruise night though.

Dilemna, if she goes to the lake shes gotta take my truck. Right now the honda is kinda a pain in the *** to get in and out of, and that leaves me the rusty ol 89 to go hit cruise night with. Not really my first choice haha.

Oh Im not knocking it, but I cant help but wonder, if the cops are out like they used to be, how long till I would get it pulled off of the road haha.

List of stuff that would fail it pretty quick

Windshield - had a buddy punch it after a rowdy night and spidered it bad, that was around 8 years ago

Rear wheel wells - yeah they are pretty gone, hence the search for the good box

Brake lights - wire came loose on the brake lights, signals work, brake lights dont, easy fix but yeah, cant fix it!

Exhaust - has a pretty noticeable exxhaust leak on the passenger side. A buddy of mine gave me his old shorty headers and bottle mufflers, but I just havent had a chance to throw them on yet.

Other then that stuff I wouldnt be worried since it runs and drives great, but if I did get pulled into an inspection station, i would be walking (hobbling) home right now!

Maybe time to look for a better F150, this one needs lots of repairs.

Yeah I have thought about it. Heres the other part to that scenario. I bought that reg cab shortbox for cheap, and was just gonna throw the drivetrain from my current truck in that truck, basically make one good truck out of two.

Then I started thinking about putting a 351 into it, and making a good ol street truck out of it. (although I dont wanna spend too too much on it, its just a late 80's early 90's truck)

The hard part is, I have had my 89 for along time now, even though its nothing special Im kinda attached to it.

Tell her to ---- off and die. This comes one time a year, if she wants to go to the lake enough she'll take herself.

Ah one of these days i might find a good box and other parts to fix it up abit, then paint it and store it in my shop (when I have it) or I might just get the urge one fo these days and make my 89 into a shortbox.

As for evil preppy, that might be an idea, although it sounds like mr snowking might be up for that job lol
