the rims had to be custom drilled to my bolt pattern. the shop i took it too did the re-drilling so im not sure the exact figure. i didnt know it was re-drilled till they were sitting on the truck. i was like wtf hahaha
ok buddy, look at your truck. you got your 10 inch lift and your tires are bigger then mine. your truck is clearly built for mudding which is cool but thats not offroad, im sorry. IM talking about whiping the back end around, doing some jumps, goin over whoops at 30mph and taking sharp turns at 40, gettin your truck sideways. thats what im talking about. no truck with a 12 inch lift could do that.
and another thing. 90% of all trucks that are lifted 12 inches and up dont even have a ****ing driveshaft to the 4wd due to the angle. so all thses baller trucks out there with 20 inch lifts that are "4wd" arent really cause they cant even engage in it. if i wanna 4 wheel it ill go buy a jeep. your in no position to call a 2wd "mall crawler" 12+ inches impractical so i suggest to shut it. look at all the ppl that have posted positive comments. They apparently like it. and if there was a poll im sure most would agree, a truck with a 6+ inhc lift is impractical for what i was talking about.
OK kid, i was going to let you be because you understand that your truck is a mall crawler. So first of all, its a nice looking truck (not what i'm into, though)
#2- How is 12+ inches practical for road use? honestly this truck would be sweet slammed and bagged with an 04 F150 clip, and carpet and seats for chickas in the back
#3- My buddy runs 10~11 inches on his ramchargers and we do exactly what you say is "off-roading" except faster
#4-Understand that there's different forms of offroading, gunning the desert isnt the only one, you live in Cali, the state has everything. mudding, rockcrawling, desert racing, and trail rides, so don't say that and not expect to get some negative responce
Not to start a fight but mudding is more offroad than whipping the back end around, hitting jumps, hitting the whoops, and taking a sharp corner on a gravel road. Any car can do that.
If your on gravel roads sure...but hes not talking about gravel roads, hes talking about baja racing on desert TRAILS...not gravel roads...we have desert here in so cal and its not filled with gravel roads, its filled with desert...your right anyone can whip along a gravel road, but you should bring any old car out here sometime and try some desert racing for yourself and see how it does ok?
whenever you say

your going to start a fight, so if you dont want to start a fight...just dont say anything. You know youd act the same way if you just put a bunch of money and mods into your truck were proud of it and you put it up here and people started calling it a complete waste of money and so on..not cool dont you think?

did that, its fun, and honestly i'd still want 4x4 for insurance

True, but it does say "please comment" and it could also mean that he doesn't want him to take offense
alex i had no qualms with what you said. I was talking about how fireball said mudding was "more off-roading"...thats just stupid. I was correcting him in his assumptions that our "off-roading" as he puts it is flying around on gravel roads, which it isnt, and last time i looked this had more to do with lift than it does 4x4, i think anyone off-road would prefer a 4x4 thats quite obvious
and if he didnt want him to take offense...it would have been better to just say no offense... or better yet like i said in the first place...just dont say anything if you think itll make him mad...constructive criticism is one thing, being downright rude is another

First off...i didnt say that his truck was a waste of money. It does look good the way it is now. I said it is a waste of money to put all the time and money into a 2wd truck to lift it 12+ inches to be a mall crawler. Its my opinion and I'm entitled to say anything I want.
I guarantee I can do all that your talking about "offroading" and then some with my truck. But honestly I dont concider that offroading. Maybe baja racing, or desert racing something to that effect, but not offroading. Offroading is mud, tight trails, rocks and so on. 6"+ is almost necassary. So....maybe you should think about what you say before you post it.
That looks Awesome!!
Now get about 8 cans of FLAT BLACK paint and touch up the suspension and your in there!!
im actually replacing the tie rod ends, pittman arm, upper and lower control arms. so flat black wont be neccessary for them but they will be fro the rest! i definetly will do after i give everything a good powerwash. especially the frame. its disgusting looking. what i REALLY wanna do is put some rhino liner on my wheel wells. i think that would look great and i wanna rhino liner my side steps cause there fading. they are plastic though so im not sure if thats possible.

But Ive said my mind so I'm done.
comparing "baja racing or desert racing" and "mudding" is like comparing apples and oranges. there clearly 2 different worlds. One thing everyone should be able to agree on is that they are both a sub-division of "OFFROADING". one style isnt better then the other by any means. and you are saying that putting money into a 2wd truck to make it a mall crawler is a waste of money. that is not true. i dont give a **** if its your own opinion and your entitled to it. to me your mudding truck is a complete waste of time and money. some will agree some wont. what im getting at is everyone has a different perspective and thats fine. but when you start saying my **** is a waste of money do expect an argument back.
nice tuck dude i got the same truck except 4x4
i got a fabtech 6 inch lift
but you put way more into yours then mine
thats badass what you put into it though!
Heres mine

If you would read all that I wrote, I didnt say your truck is a waste. I said adding another lift making it absolutly huge, spending money on new tires, gears etc accomodating a giant lift like that for a street truck is a waste.
I didnt ask you what you thought of my truck now did I?? I can handle comments from people who like it or dont..apparently you cant. You wanted comments and I gave mine. If you cant handle em, dont ask for them dumb ****.

you wanted opinions didnt you? looks like its not what you bargained for! i'll stick to my 1 ton (well both PSD and bronco )
BTW... you 97 guys are funny, i should come in here more often!
Have '88 BroncoII Stock but with 31X10.15's. Friend of mine just bought a beautiful Ford F-150 with the thing jacked up to the sky and everything on it except the electric a** wiper. He still goes offroading but ya can tell he's so afraid he's gonna scratch the thing it's ridiculous. There's a whole lot of guys around these parts that have these monster rigs and most of them are the same way. Must be something in the water. Discovered something long ago bout my little Bronco. I can actually go places in that thing that those monster rigs can't! Point is; there are those of us who believe in practicality and functionality and then there are those who believe in status, ego, and in alot of cases especially around where i live in keeping up with the Jones'. Nevertheless, to each his own. It's all about having fun and enjoying the ride! And, if you enjoy what you'r doing then i say "go for it"!

if i wanted to romp my truck in the water and get mud all over my truck then id go out and buy a beater truck to destroy and rebuild after every outing. I didnt go out and spend my hard earned money for my mods, to go and trash it to pieces and scratch it up and get dings. im a little more classy then that. if i wanna "offroad" then i'll go buy a jeep. Fact is my truck is a pavement pounder ONLY and im proud of that. that was my goal. my ego is big and ppl add to it everyday when they say " oh man that truck is so sick, i wish i had that". Nobody can say it doesnt look good cause i hear it every day. people asking me at stop lights about my mods and giving me compliments on my wheels, lift, exhaust. that makes me feel good so thats why i did what i did. you offroad guys knocking on show trucks, ego trucks, mall crawlers, etc. need to just drop it, accept the fact that not everyone that owns a truck wants to go and offroad with it.
who in their right mind go and drop 5 grand on 20 inch rims, bigger gears, custom diff plate and 37 inch nitto allterrains, then go tear them up in a few offroading trips? hell no
