Which custom tuner?
Ok guys, I was all set to go with Matt at Spartan for custom tunes on my 07 F250 4x4 it seems like his tunes are excellent and well engineered but what concerns me is what seems to be the lack of customer support and being able to get in contact with him. I have been looking at the tunes from Innovative diesel and when I called with some questions their wasn't any issues getting to speak to some one and having my questions answered on the first call. Now I truly value the opinions of the users on this site as far as being knowledgeable and honest so my question is this. Are Matts tunes that much better than other tuners most importantly Innovative diesels that it is worth the hassle of waiting for a response from spartan as far as any questions or any problems that may arise if I choose to get the tunes from spartan? I am not trying to start a war over this, just honest opinions from you guys who are familiar with both of these tuners. Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well I too was /am waiting for Spartan..over 2 months.. no calls no email so the heck with it - I have in other posts indicated my satisfaction with Mike at 5 Star Tuning.
I had my SCT and 3 custom tunes within 4 days after I emailed. No phone call needed. I bought 3 new tunes after the new flash - delivered in ONE day.. done in the truck and working.
While tuning these trucks is science -its not rocket... SCT provides lots of help for these tuners.
I guess I dont see I need that unique special tune from some super expert.. since my truck is almost stock and I dont need much more then stock performance. What I get from Mike is working for me.
There has to be many good Ford truck tuners out there. On this site I only hear of 3. They surely are not the only ones around??
An aside Eric at Innovation did call me back - after 2 days, but by then the SCT was in the mail from 5 Star.

Rumor has it that Eric at Innovative Diesel, and DJ's Performance have great customer service and good response time.
You may want to check out DP Tuner, though I believe his specialty is the 7.3 PSD.
Calling them is the best way to make contact, IMO.
