Yes. I think I have.
Maybe they can see the difference between a grumpy old man and one that pretends to be.
Not all kids can see right through, though.

Was that a somewhat decent answer?

Is that why some kids are afraid of sitting on Santa's lap at the mall?

do you know why someone would dress as Santa, smelling of brew, knowing they will be exposing children to all that nastiness?

Yes. If their names deserves to be on Megan's Law.
No. If their intent is strictly to be Santa Clause, without the alcohol/b.o. smell.
