Windows & Radio
On my 2002 F-250 super duty, every once in a while when I start it the windows and radio will not work-- let run from a 1 min to 5 min and they come back on?????? I am guessing that it is some type of relay but don't know which one it is--- any help will much appreciated.. thanks NCFord4X4

This is about the 5th time this topic has came up with no answer. it happens to me too every once in a while. mine seems to be with the door or something. when this happens to me i can open and shut the door again and the windows and radio start to work again. i'm wondering if we need to spray something with some good ol wd 40.

There is an accessory delay relay that powers the radio and p/w switches. The relay keeps power to these circuits until the door is opened after the key is turned off. The door latch switch would deactivate this relay when the door is opened. I believe the relay is timed by GEM to keep it engaged for a length of time before the door is opened. The problem could be in any of these three areas. Just my thoughts. I haven't seen the diagrams for all these circuits.

I have that happen to me
drives me nuts
i thought it may have something to do with getting a remote-start system installed earlier this year
any ideas?
