I am trading my 91 F250 4x4 Diesel for a 97 F250 4x4 Gasser (351) I went to get the truck inspected the other day and they was no OBD lug to plug it in. Whats the deal with that. P.O. said there aint one. Has / Can this OBD plug be removed or maybe this truck just wasn't made with one ????????
BTW, this is really the only page that this truck with fit in. The SD / HD page is raelly all newer trucks , whats up with that

I'm assuming that this is th 250HD. (old body style). I have a 97 F350 4x4 (351)that I bought new. No OBD plug, just EEC inside the engine compartment on the drivers side fender. I think it has something to do with >8500 GVWR. Hope this helps.
I argee with you about the is being the only place for this. There's nothing specific for the 97-98 F250HD & F350's
Trucks with GVWR over 8500lbs were still OBD1 until the new body style and motors were introduced, so that means 96 and 97 F250HD and heavier trucks had the EEC test connector under the hood. Why don't inspection stations know this, there has got to be millions of these truck out there.
