i feel your pain brother. thats a good looking rig,and well worth the price too! my wife Heather doesn't see the need for me to have so many toys in the yard. i just bought a new enclosed toy hauler trailer for my 2006 lol(Harley Davidson softail, and it too was a good deal, so i had to buy it. we bought Heather her first new vehicle back in April,a 08 ford escape. so im passing on the gearhead infection to her now(lol). today we were at ford ordering ford accessories for her escape. im hoping she will soon understand why i bring home all this stuff, and accept it. good luck with your being grounded, maybe you can get time off for good behavior (lol)-billy

Ah so this is the truck in the Class of 79 gallery? Very nice price. You should take comfort that this truck could fetch $4000-$6000.

I would lose that Lester Hut on the back though

I bet the truck was built in may of 79.
I once got a 94 Tempo that was a 4cly model with EVERY option. Looked kinda weird to me then I noticed it was built in may of 94. With this being the last month of that model being made My guess was they wanted to empty the shelves of all tempo parts. I bet they did the same with other models as well.

Try looking under the seat , they use to put the build sheet under the seat between the springs and seat foam. I also found them behind the cardboard cover on the rear of the seat. Sounds like a real nice truck you got there, the wife will get over it eventually. Mine told me just because we have a big back yard doesn't mean I could drag home every 79 ford I found but there are 3 of them out there for parts trucks now, and I still sleep in doors with her.LOL

if you look on my brake pedal it says 11/78, therefore being a 1979. if yours was made in May then on the brake pedal towards the passenger side it should have 5/79.
