Baring any core shift issues, what is the max a "mirror 105", and a standard "352" block be bored out to? Are these engines safe at 4.080" (.030 over), or is that too far?
Also, what is a fair value for a purported Mustang 390 with flat-top pistons, and about 15k on a rebuild?
30 over will be fine. If you can get .060 out of any FE block that's good. There are both thick and thin, good and bad DIF (352) and MCC (105) blocks.
Value on the Stang 390....what year? Still all original heads, block, intake, carb, aircleaner, S tube etc... numbers matching etc...??? Also prices are down a bit as most know. So some can afford to trade up and not have to take what they can get so to speak. The "GT" S code engines are still sought after if it has original parts. And with "some" parts the same as the 428CJ in Mustang and Cougar you can still peddle that stuff for good money.
