I am having a problem hooking up my guage. I taped into the map sensor line like I was told, put a 1/4 inch tee and ran 1/4 inch line into the cab. Is the 1/4 inch line to big? The guage came with a piece of 1/8 inch line but it was banged up so I thought running the 1/4 inch would be okay. Is a boost guage just read vacum? Because when I hook up the guage it will not read anything, but if I hook up a vacum guage it will show movement. If i blow into the line toward the guage I see movement on the boost guage. I know all this sounds crazy but Did I go wrong with the 1/4 inch line? Also there is a small reducer that goes into the back of the boost guage that has a very small hole in it. Does that need to come out or stay in?
I wondered about the tubing size also. I held off hooking up the 1/8 boost line thinking if I go up one size to 3/16 it would have quicker response and less pressure drop through the tubing. I also ordered the plug to replace the IAH and will tap in there.
0 boost idle of footing in driveway.
Normal take off i get 5-8
Wide open i get 15-16.

No leaks, no chip.
What does the red line do or go to? I tapped a T into the map sensor with a 1/8th line.
that comes from the map going to the waste gate..you dont want to tap into that.. you will see a black hose going from the Spider to the mad sensor..thats where you T in...

I drilled and tapped my intake (1/8" NPT). That way I get a true reading from right in front of the turbo. I also get a little needle movement above 1200 RPMs using a DiPricol Optix 35lbs gauge.
