And Yet Another C6 Question
I have recently converted my 77 F100 from the 300-6cyl to a 351W.
I rebuilt both the engine and transmission. They came fro an 83 E350 utility truck.
After installing the transmission the transmission I realized that it was leaking. I had fogotten that it had been sitting for nearly 3yr's. so the seal was probably dry. No big thing. I changed it. Reinstalled the transmission. Now after adding about 8qt's of fluid it leak's yet again. Since this I've changed pump's, bushing's and seal's. The servo opening has been tapped and plugged. I even went so far as to change case's and still it leak's. The block dowel's are new and the flywheel is new as well. What on earth can it be that I'm over looking???

The servo opening is located inside the bellhousing area. Looking from the front it's located in the lower left hand corner. This has been known to leak. Most guy's will just fill the opening with silicon, but I prefer to tap and plug it.
Yes it's leaking from the front. It's not gushing out, but there is a steady flow.
