uhuru update/preparing for possible riots
ST. PETERSBURG (Bay News 9) -- The Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney's Office has concluded that a St. Petersburg police officer was justified in his use of deadly force when he shot and killed a teenager.
Officer Terrence Nemeth shot Javon Dawson, 17, outside a graduation party in June.
Police said that Dawson was waving a gun around and that he pointed it at the officer.
An internal investigation by the St. Petersburg Police Department is not complete and therefore police will not issue a comment on the case.
Chief Harmon did, however, issue the following comments in a press release: "My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Dawson family as well as Officer Terrence Nemeth and his family."
"This has been a difficult situation for all involved. I appreciate the patience and understanding our broader community has demonstrated thus far during the investigation and ask for their continued understanding while we conclude our internal investigation."

good luck with your riots in FL. We had riots here in 2001 and the minority's burnt their own neighborhoods down. After the riot they demanded tax payer funds to pay for the rebuilding

For those of you who don't remember the original thread, there were EYE witnesses who said the dead kid was unarmed.

uuuuuuuuuu,nice comback..........this has been nothing but a he said she said thing,and we know whos coming out on top
im just waiting for buildings to burn and cars to be flipped over,its going to look like a zoo out there.
these uhuruers even had some beef with obama a few weeks back claiming he aint black enough,or that obama wont get involved with the inner citys etc....im thinking man they even have beef with obama

only god knows.....
this is what kills me,and why things most likely will never change (black/white)
if it were a blackcop with the same exact scenerio...the uhuruers would be claiming police brutality,and most likely no riots.
but since it was a caucasion cop, it had to be racially motivated...and there for im sure there will be a response in the black community.

I'm not familiar with "uhuru", and I can't say anything for or against them.
There's still a dead KID who may or may not have been armed.
As you mentioned, it comes down to the cop (that shot the KID) vs. the questionable testimony of the people who watched the cop shoot the kid.
