97 door ajar
my dad's got a 97 mazda, which is a ford ranger, in which the door ajar light stays on and the interior light as well, when the door is shut. it's rather temperamental, but he usually ends up pulling the fuse to put an end to it...where is the problem? is the door sensor stuck/shot?

Try spraying some electrical parts cleaner in the door latch. Lots of it. You are trying to clean the contacts on the switch. Last resort remove door panel for axcess to clean or replace.
