Duel battery conversion
Does a duel battery set up really help that much? Or is it just as good to carry some jumper cables? If you do put in another battery can you just get a small one instead of a full size truck batt.? We might be getting a winch in the near futer and mount it on a piece of tubing so we can just slide it in the hitch reciever, and use some plugs for the power, will this mean I need another batt. or is it just recommended?

Dual > Means Two things (axles,batteries)
Duel > Two people holding pistols or swords.
The problem with having Dual batteries is,
for batteries to last any length of time they have to have a drain on them and a re-charge,now the re-charge part is fine with a battery isolator.
The draining of power part is more difficult.
Constant use of a winch using a solenoid to operate it would be good but the constant charging with no constant drain wouldn't be good.
Camper's and trailer's have Deep Cell batteries used mainly for lighting,water pump and furnace activation.
It's up to you now.
