Losing points...
I wanted to lose the points in my 71 and install one of those Ignitor electronic conversions.Does anyone know if I need to use the voltage reducer taht is on my stock harness or just do away with it?????Any help will be much appreciated.Project almost done just need to finish this wiring .Thanks Mr.B

If you are using your stock coil, I think you should leave your stock resistor in place. Go to the following ling at Pertronix's website:
http://www.pertronix.com/ignition/tech/tech.htm#What%20type%20of%20coil%20can%20I%20use%2 0with%20the%20Ignitor™?%20How%20do%20I%20check%20m y%20coils%20resistance?
It tells how to check your ignition system so you can tell whether of not you need the resistor.
