Not a whole lot further going through Manhattan with Ft Riley being located where it is.
The big difference is running 65 mph on 77 instead of going all the way through Manhattan. It wouldn't be bad to go south from 77 and 24 to 13 and 24 though.
Thats cool Del, I was thinking I would try to be up there around 10:30 or so, but I think it officially starts at 10:00 right? I mean I know its not set in stone, but for as far as Clint and Duane have to travel, I hate for them to have to sit up there and wait on the rest of us too long.
how late we gonna hang out and do this thing, I got the whole day open, but if you guys want to wrap it up after lunch, then that is ok also, don't feel you have to hang around on my behalf.
can do, I got two girls I got to get around, so it may not go as smooth as I have planned, but I will certainly try. I will call you a few minutes before I load the girls in the car if that works for you?
Duane picKed Clint up about a 1/2 hour ago. They were gonna hit the store afore head'n outa town. Most likely it'd be 11:00 or so when they get there. Pends on how long they spend gettin outa town and stops. Bout 2.5 hours drive time. Wouldn't spect um afore 10:30 anyway.
Thanks to Curtis for bringing the grill and doing service as the grill master and furnishing burgers and pulled pork for sandwiches. Duane and Clint for the other good eats and to all for great conversation and a great relaxing afternoon.
The weather was great! No rain and a nice breeze and pleasantly warm weather.
Although the turnout was limited it was a great time. Clint and I were really surprised by the weather, we got just a few miles south of Randolf and the sky turned blue and the sun came out and it turned out to be a perfect day for our little outting.
We seen Del's shiner, I don't buy the line he was feeding us, I really think he tried to tell AJ he wanted to buy more parts and she gave him the smack down lol.
Curtis was there and scoped out the location for us and did a fine job at that. He brought the girls with him and they were 2 of the most well behaved kids I have seen in a long time. Suprisingly they didn't get bored with the 4 of us lol.
Thanks to you guys that were there for the puter hints on cleaning up some stuff so it would work better. I did a bunch of that last night and it seemed to help. Thanks again.
