I don't know, but please post a youtube link when you decide to give it a go. Probably makes the vehicle ride like a giant vibrator, so the chicks may dig it...
I actually already did it. To be honest there isn't enough vibration for me to notice it has the wrong flywheel. The only reason I know it isn't right is because I read on here that 351s need a 28oz flywheel- after I had already reused my 50oz from my 302.
Years ago as a youngster I went to buy a surplus flywheel from a fellow who was swapping motors in a van. He had put a small block flexplate on his 300-6, or the other way around, I don't remember now. I advised him that I believed the balance was different, even pointing out the counterweight vs. no counterweight on the flywheels but he seemed to think there was no problem. I have no idea how it worked out.
Just had that mismatch in a Bronco and vibration was very noticable. "81" and earlier 302 had 28 oz. You didn't mention what year engines.
The 351 is a 95 and the 302 is a 94. It is definately a 50oz flywheel. There really is no vibration at all. Is it possible that the new crank isn't balanced at 28oz?

It's possible but not likely. What crank is it? What balancer did you use?
I believe the crank is just a stock replacement- I had to turn in a core. If I rememeber correctly I used the 28oz balancer but it is possible I used the 50oz.
Do you still have the ring part numbers, or the sales receipt?
Call the place you bought them from and ask them exactly what engines those rings fit.
According to several Ford parts catalogs I have, the rings used on 1969/96 351W's are the same part number as 1963/68 289's and 1968/85 302's, which means...the rings are the same.
