auto start/door lock problems

When the system worked properly, I would hit the auto start button and nothing would happen. Hit the door lock button and then the start button and the truck fired up. Also when I hit the door lock button, the doors would lock and only when you hit the button a second time you'd hear a single horn chirp and another single chirp when you hit the start.
Now when I hit the start button as I normally did, the truck gives me two chirps and doesn't start. Also when I hit the door locks it chirps the first time rather than the second time I hit the button.
Something fail or just needs to be reprogrammed?

Who installed the auto start system? You might give the manufacturer of the auto start system a call to see what they say.

Just went out to try it again...
it did the same thing I described above. Then I started it with the key, shut it off and locked the doors and then it started with the auto start...weird...
one thing I also noticed is the "theft" light wasn't flashing on the dash.
