Talking HPOP Suck & Refill

A buddy let me use his the mightyvac last night to change out the oil while i was doing a regular oil change. What a GREAT tool so easy my OCD kicked in overtime I could only get about 22oz out the first 2 times but I got the pickup tube to go in a bit deeper (insert pun here) and started pulling about 26 oz's. Well here is where the obsessive compulsive thing kicked in after almost 3.5 hours and about 6 cycles of suck, fill & run for 10-15 mins It still had a dark tint to it but I was running out of re-fill oil. But I figured with just a tick over 100K I had better do a good job. No auto douch here from forgetting the plug in but I did have the 13 year old to fish the plug out of the valley when I let if fall on the first removal.......
Hopefully my truck will be like this..

Good job on the HPOP oil change. I only flushed mine twice and was pleased with the results. I did, however, run the engine at 1500 rpms for five minutes between flushes. I dont know if this affects the quality of the oil, that is removed, as it mixes.

It flushes the HPOP reservoir and passages in the block of the "older" oil that is not drained during your regular oil change. It is still up in the air about the importance of doing this regularly, but doesn't hurt if it has never been done.

LOL, I dropped my plug and allen-socket down into the valley too. I had similar results, my fourth drain sample was still noticably darker than my oil pan sample. Apparently I had a lot of sludge in the bottom of the reservior. I have 160K.
