I'm really thinking about getting rid of my AFE stage 1 intake with pro guard 7 filter and getting the 6637. Because it flows more air. And i have talked to a few people and they say it help your top end.

I want to do the IDM mod. Is it really that hard. I have a 25watt soldering pencil just for this. 25 watt is low, so it will be hard to screw this up, right?

Will the FPR shim help me any? I will have to get a gauge to see what my pressure is though. But then can i sell the gauge? Anyone want to buy it?

I'm thinking about getting water/meth injection. Or maybe just water injection. Does meth hurt your engine at all? I would never go over 40% meth. how much hp gain would i see from that?
also would this work
Pump $115
2 nozzles $44 (not sure what size I should go with)??
Quick Disconnect Tee for 1/4 hose $10
1-25 psi Boost Pressure Switch $25
Check valve $30
90 degree Water Tank Taping Kit $1,
Total $237
coolingmist.com want $319.95 for there kit.
I can but all the parts, its cheaper than the kit. It should work, I have all the things that would come with the kit.
More air is always good. As for the IDM mod, I've heard from some it works great, others notice little difference, and others have fried it doing the mod wrong... For the FPR shim, I'd first look at what the pressures are at. Water/methanol injection has been around since WWII and was used in airplanes when a sudden power increase was needed without making cylinder heat temps get out of hand. It isn't bad for the motor. Running it will cause a steam clean effect, decrease EGTS and if methanol is used (washer fluid) will provide power increases. The only downside is if the system floods out and hydrolocks the motor. That can happen with a build your own kit. The kits out are pretty safe and have EGT, as well as boost control, in addition to different stages (volume output) for different EGTS boost, etc
