1997 F150 Brake problem

Hi , I have a 97 4x4 , I replaced front pads and the readr wheel cylinders due to the bleeder screws would not loosen for nothing, so I replaced them ...real easy, well my problem is after bleeding them I started passenger rear first then drivers side rear the passenger front then driver front..just filling in the gaps here...My peddle feels a little soft though and at times thers something preventing me to push down further. It is really hard to explain but I can feel it in the peddle , not all the time, also Mybrake light comes on at times , not all the time, should I try to get codes pulled maybe? at times it scares the you know what out of me...not sure if its gonna stop or what then I pump them up a couple times it might stop...any help would be much appreciated...thanks...

When you bleed them you got a strong flow from each of the bleeders? Your rubber brake lines are old enough that you may need to replace the front ones. You may still have some air in the system (or the lines flex a lot) once the blockage in the front "blocks" the flow of fluid, then the peddle will get hard even though the truck is not stopping.

Mine done that for a while. Had a soft peddle and by ABS light on the dash was on. Do you have the ABS sensor in your front Hub Assembly?

yes I did get a strong flow of clean brake fluid through each one.
Im not sure where the abs senser is to be honest with ya.
I had a buddy help me bleed them . he pumped them up and held and then I let loose then tightened. old fashion way.
I just got back from town with it and these damn things are screwy...sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt...I dont know when so I slow down quit a distance from stopping..The light hasnt come on for awhile ..and it just happened to me...I wish i could tell ya what it does in words ...it is just wierd...I cant describe it very good and appoligize..the breaks feel good at first then all of a sudden I'll have no brake like metal to metal but there new pads.then I'l try pumping them and then there fine tell I push and hold them and it might do it agin....thanks for the help all....
