Any part taken from a vehicle that was rolled should be checked before being reused. Chances are it's OK, but you never know what the truck was subjected to in the way of G forces. Axles can be snapped, axle housings can be cracked or twisted, frames can be twisted, engine blocks cracked, basically darn near anything can break.
The way I see it. When the truck rolled, it probably put a lot of stress on the wheels. If it rolled more than once, it would have come down on the wheels pretty hard when it was right side up.
In addition, if it landed on it's roof, I'm sure a lot of stress was put on the wheels when the righted it.
I would try to find another axle if you have any doubts at all.
You should pick it up, If a song is all they want? A buddy rolled his way new mopar, and its back and front differentials lived. But if one of them hadn't , the rig was just a few grand from total status. Get a written agreement of return for any defect, if they are asking for a album or two. Be sure to check everything. Plug up all openings and slightly pressurize the unit to check for cracks maybe, at least the yard admits the thing is out of a rollover. Some would take it out and seller on E-bay. good hunting.
It's a little tougher to check a bend front axle. But, it is likely that any part on any vehicle that is in a wreck can be affected. Just take the great advice everyone offered into consideration. I can't add anything!
I recommend to keep searching. Seen too many trucks get flipped back over after a roll, and that alone is really hard on teh axles. Let alopne the trucks flyinga nd rollingw ith speed!!!
